W ashington Business WomanWashington Federation of Business & Professional Women (BPW/WA) Editor: Carolyn Leeper www.wabusinesswoman.com Winter 2007 President’s Message Thank you all for participating in our Fall Board Western Round-up in Ellensburg. We had a great time during our networking night and everyone dressed up in western attire. The brainstorming ideas, networking, and member participation was overwhelming. We are including the ideas and suggestions offered at Fall Board and they will be posted on the BPW/WA web pages shortly. Take a few minutes to review them, discuss with other members at your local level then, individually or as a group, submit additional items. It would be exciting to see the brainstorm idea pages double or triple over the next few months. Please be sure to email me and let me know when your meetings and events will be held so I can plan on attending. One of my personal Presidential goals is to attend as many signature events and meetings as possible. Happy Holidays! The stockings are filled with toiletries, socks, gloves and goodies. It is our goal to give these women a little something special at this wonderful time of year. We want them to know that they are not forgotten. For many of these women this is their holiday. Our members have donated many of the items necessary. Due to the large number that we are filling, we are asking members of our community for help. If you would like to donate to this rewarding project, we would appreciate your help. We are looking for socks and gloves (the stretch kind), Individually packaged goodies…candy, chips, cookies, nuts. We are especially looking for paper back books and costume jewelry that we can wrap so that each woman can have a wrapped present. If you have any jewelry that you would like to donate, you can wrap it if you like. Or we can wrap it. Please call me at 206-587-5360 and I will be happy to arrange for pick up. If you would like to make a cash donation, checks may be made out to ECBPW Foundation. If you would like to help fill the stockings, we are doing the filling on December 10 th at 5:45pm.We will be at the Best Western Executive Inn at 200 Taylor Avenue North in Seattle. PleaseRSVP .
